Young Five Infant Program

Infants enter our program at 12 weeks and stay until 12 months. The Sunny Pointe infant area is considered the most important development area in the day care center. During this important year of your child’s development, they will grow from a newborn spending most of their time asleep, to a vary mobile transition toddler.

This is a very exciting time for both parents and caregivers who have the opportunity to observe and help guide your child’s amazing changes and growth.

At Sunny Pointe we provide a ratio of 1 staff member for every 3 children ensuring your infant receives consistent attention and that your infant is safe and secure.

Sunny Pointe staff members follow your child’s uniquely individual schedule rather than a set pre-determined classroom schedule. In this way curriculum and schedules unfold naturally and differently each day.

Caregivers support infant’s development through daily activities and routines that support the following areas: Social & Emotional, Cognitive Communication, Fine Motor & Gross Motor Skills.

Infant program activities include but are not limited to the following. A well-trained caregiver supervises each activity

Floor Time (allowing infant to explore and discover)

Tummy Time (alone or with other infants)

Music (listen to a variety of music and sounds)

Reading (picture books and image explorations)
